Lord Fred had just materialized in Voyager's Sickbay. But he didn't look like Lord Fred. He looked like Sir Josh. And the person who had summoned him was ... Lord Fred?
"Okay, what is going on here?" demanded Lord Fred/Sir Josh. "And what don't I feel...solid?"
"Calm down." said the other. "There's not much time. You're a hologram, a construct made of light. And you look like Sir Josh, another member of the kingdom. You're on a ship that can travel through the stars and is lost about forty years from home. You've taken the place of the light construct doctor, who is safely stored away in his holoemitter."
"But why am I in such a bizarre situation?"
"Don't you remember? These rogue storylines have been threatening to wipe out your exsistince. I and the Wizard Of Kamiro and Vincent of the tower have upped your situation to such a bizarre level that you can't help but be the focus of attention in this storyline. And that is the whole point. If you aren't the focus of attention, your reality goes bye-bye."
Suddenly a large grey creature materialized out of thin air and bit the other Fred's head off.
