Ok. As Fred and the lovely Diana approach the castle, Fred seems to relax. He looks notably relieved at having threaded his way through so many patrols. What he had not told Diana was that there were orc tracks throughout the countryside--way too many tracks. He had no idea where the orc patrols were and was relieved to be back at the castle, not so that he could tell the king, but so that he could hide safely. Now in a brisk walk, he approached the castle drawbridge. Then, it struck him, it was too quiet. There were no shouts, no "who goes there," no nothing. He turned to Diana beside him and yelled "RUN!" But before he could get far, nets flew off the castle wall and trapped him. Orcs rushed them from all sides. Diana abandoned her weapon and jumped into the moat. Orcs rushed in after her, forgetting that they could not swim. By the time she was hauled out of the water, four of them were lifelessly bobbing in the gentle current.
