Astra considered her options. She was afraid that using her sword on the
slime might possibly corrode the blade. The tunnel was too narrow to go
round it on either side. Though the thing was only a foot across, it was
floating with its lowest point some two and a half feet above the ground,
which meant that she had a problem. Wearing armour as she was, would it be
easier to try to duck underneath it or to leap over it? Eventually she
decided that the latter would be easier.
Picking up the dog, she went back a few yards, then ran up to the slime, ready to jump.
