The old woman disappeared, whilst Astra wondered what on Earth she had
been thinking of when she agreed to such an odd request. Well, having said
she would do it, she couldn't with honour back out now. Unless the woman
took too long, that is. That was what she would have to hope for.
But she had no such luck. Only a couple of minutes later, the crone returned with a tray on which were several containers. Astra presumed that they contained the salt and spices. The woman approached to within a few feet of Astra, took the largest container in one hand, and bent down. Then she shook some of its contents over Astra's privates. Astra immediately felt an agonising burning pain, and clapped her hands to her groin, dropping the kitten in the process. This is no salt, she thought as she collapsed to the ground.
