Good Old Velus!

"Velus!" Astra exclaimed. "Am I glad to see you! Fred's possessed, and can't help us. Please can you get us free?"

Velus quickly chewed though the ropes binding Astra to the couch. "Don't move!" Fred told her when Velus had finished. "I can't get a good likeness if you won't hold still."

1. But Astra took no notice, and went to free Ardua.
2. Astra got up and looked at Fred's drawing. "That's very good!" she said.
3. Astra looked at Fred's drawing. "I do not have two heads and four breasts!" she pointed out. (Apparently Fred was an early surrealist.)
4. Astra found herself, though free, unable to move, It seemed that she too was being controlled by magic.
