Fred is amazed at such duplicitous intentions, and equally amazed at the
size of the troll coming right for him. With two dead dragons in the
other chamber he had hoped his need to fight would have been minimalized,
at least for a while.
Fred hefted his mighty ice sword in his left hand. His right arm was
hanging limply by his side, almost useless after being burned by the first
dragon. This was not going to be an easy fight.
The troll rushed at Fred while he sidestepped. The troll turned, faster than Fred had guessed it could, and it planted a mighty blow to Fred's back! Fred nearly flew across the room, but he did not lose his sword. Nitch, meanwhile had run into the dragon's chamber. With the sound of fighting from the other room, Nitch wept at the sight of the two dead dragons. They were his master and without them he would indeed be less than a monster. But he at least knew that there was still a third, the Eldest. But it did not live in these areas of the Caves, it lived in the depths. Already the corpses of the dragons had dissolved, hardly a porous bone was left. Various vipers and nasty thinges squirmed upon the stone flooring, even in death new life did emerge. Nitch barely had an ear for the clangs, womps, and yelps from the other room, he had to think. With the Younger and Older gone, other creatures would take their place as Masters. Nitch had no desire to serve the lizardmen nor the dark centuars, he had no stomach for the sloggoths or the quazits, and he definitely desired no contact with the Lone Bloodsucker, the Moonwalker, or the Unliving Corpse. ~~but what to do??? I am useless without my dearest wyrms... oh if only this bad, bad man hadn't been so damn good at slicing and dicing!~~ Nitch noticed that the noise from the other room had gone to silence. One or the other was definitely done for.
