Time travel was a tricky thing. One could not, should not, reveal their
presence to the past if it could be helped. Scott and Torres ended up crowded in a Jeffries Tube, dinging a message into a console. In fact, Scott had come up with the idea. He had remembered that, two years ago to this date, Ensign Vorik and Commander Tuvok had been called away from their stations and had not returned for two days straight. Calling them now seemed to be their best idea. Usually, Torres, as a Starfleet trained officer, would know more of what to do in this type of situation, but her and Starfleet Academy had parted ways before they had gotten to time travel. And of course, Scott Chen had never seen it's hallowed halls. But Vulcans, which Vorik and Tuvok were of, were always reliable. Both could repress facts so no telepath could ever read it. If tortured, they could literally turn themselves off, regressing to a near vegetable state. Vorik and Tuvok called from the other side of the Jeffries Tube hatch. "The outside is free of onlookers." said the Ensign. "Indeed." said Tuvok. "We also know you are time travelers, for Scott Chen's quantum signature is so great it magnifies his fellows." The two exited the tube.
