...then decides to abort his quest altogether and retire to a villa in
North Umbria. No one blamed Fred for giving up. Fighting dragons was
hard, and doing
hard stuff wasn't very much fun at all. Though his career had hardly
begun, he announced upon his understandable retreat from the Southern
Caves that another soul would have to take up the mantle of 'Dragon
Slayer'. His father, Duke Dred, was just proud his son had carried on the D'Honaire tradition of half-assed Dragonslaying attempts. "That is why we have always proudly held the golden chicken, regardant the mangy mut with it's tail tucked between it's legs, on a field of yellow as our family standard," the Duke explained. One year later...Fred had given up, as was his D'Honaire duty, and had retired to his lavish villa in North Umbria. He spent his days idily passing the time with inumerable naps, massages, leisurely strolls through his gardens, fresh-squeezed pink lemonade, and yes, even breakfast cereals and a few daily visits to the whorehouses (he had two of these in his villa).
