The snow continued to swirl all about Lucky, his limbs were beginning to
solidify, his heart and lungs and probably every other internal organ had
already begun the inexorable slowdown towards a frozen hibernation.
Lucky, however, was not a gnome known to give up. He still had his rings,
and though the power of the witch-thinge was strong, he hoped that she
wasn't all-seeing.
Lucky squirmed and fidgeted, he rubbed here and there and thought warm thoughts. The violet shine of the octarine began to coalesce on his fingers and then spread across the gnome's body. Lucky closed his eyes - in part because it helped his concentration and in part because the bone- chilling wind was freezing his eyelids. The sound of that arctic wind was suddenly replaced by slurping and bubbling. Lucky opened his eyes and saw that he was now in a huge cavern, to the far left was a lava flow! To his right was a series of doorways carved into the stone wall. But before he could get even three steps closer to the tunnelways, he heard a now familiar voice within his mind: so! the little man didn't like time-out? me no likey you! BUT me very, very happy that you like to play games! you really, really gonna like the next game! or maybe not Lucky had the urge to run and hide, but before he could he found that he was immobilized. Then he found himself in great pain. When he opened his eyes he saw to his horror that his eyes were no longer on his face and that his vision was more wraparound than unidirectional. Below him, with hands on her hips stood the Little Girl. "D'ya know what a tesseract is?" Lucky could barely pay her any attention let alone think, as his mind seemed to trade places with his ribs and his left leg folded itself past his right hip. "A tesseract is an object that rotates in four dimensional space. D'ya know what that means, little man?" Lucky's eyes had now shifted to within his own intestines while his arms moved through his spine and backwards towards the right. The sheer pain of it all kept the man from even really hearing the creature below him. The Little Girl was giggling now. "It means, you little booby, that your whole body is moving around like a baby's blow-chime. You wanted to play games, right? Now you're my toy... isn't that neato?" She looked up and saw his heart rotate right through one of his knee caps. She reached up and grabbed the beating piece of muscle. "I like this game, my daddy taught it to me a long time ago." She felt the warmth of the gnome's blood-pump in her little palm. "If I squeezey-eezey right now, my little boy-toy, you'll feeeeeeeel it." But she didn't squeeze, she didn't let go either. She began to prance about, to dance in her odd way, holding the gnome's heart even as it continued to do its job of pumping the gnome's misplaced blood throughout his misplaced body. The whole scene made her to remember something funny (at least funny to the Little Girl) and she began to sing: "...I need some time to find, to find myself... I cannot see the future but I don't want to lose you... tralalala! I still need, hahehahehah... time to find, hahhahahah... all my life changing every day, in every possible way... feeling it even more because it came from me... hehhehahehheh, aaaaaaah- lalalalalala! I want more, impossible to ignore... now I tell you openly, you have my heart so don't hurt me..." Lucky was unable to appreciate even one note, all his concentration was put into not going mad at the pain and at the impossible realization that with one eye he was looking at a sulpher-fly chewing on some ungodly thing in a corner of the cavern while with his other eye he was staring at the inside of his kidney! "Ta-ta!" chirped the Little Girl and let his heart meander back towards the other rotating pieces of the gnome. "You are in a pickle this time, puzzle-man, no naughty rings are gonna help you now... why, here they are in my pocket-shmocket! But if you get tired of all the agony, just call out. Maybe, if you're a good little boy, I'll find it in my heart to lend you a hand.. haha bwahahaha!"
