Soup Kitchen Episode

She lunged at Fred "Wait!" Fred said, capably disarming the woman and pinning her to the floor. "I'm not pixellated, whatever that is! I'm a normal human being like you!"

"Oh, you are?" the woman said. "I'm sorry, my eyes aren't what they used to be. That damned Siegfried made a mess of my kitchen! Him and that damned Xianghua in the slutty red costume! Fighting and fighting and fighting and that voice in my head talking about the stage of history..."

"What is this place?" Fred asked, letting the woman go. She jumped up and patted her clothes clean.

"Tis' the mighty Belboz's soup kitchen." the woman said. "At least, it used to be."

Fred looked around. The room was indeed in disrepair. Pots and pans were scattered everywhere, some dented by sword blows, and spilled soup stained the floor. "Soup kitchen?"

"Aye. My master is so generous, he provides free soup to the many homeless residents of these caves, like Lava Man, witch girl Leonora, and dog-teen Velus. They all come from miles around to try my secret recipe." the woman said with a twinkle in her eye. "Say, you look a mite famished yerself. I think I have some soup left - care for a taste? It'll do you a power of good, lad!"

Fred's stomach growled. He hadn't eaten anything since entering the cave, and the smell in the air here was indeed irresistible. However, could he really trust a woman who worked for the demented, Ranma-summoning, Soul Calibur dimension-portal-opening Belboz?
