her sisters. "The poison was especially strong in Fred's veins, and he
was suffering through a slow death. In the end, I had to put him out of
his misery."
The look of shock on Astra's face was immediate, "That... that must have been..." All her years of training and teaching, the amazonian way, the way of her people before her, the way of the jungle and of the plain, the way of life rushed to her, in every hour of darkness she had always turned to her true self. Her look of shock gave way to a calm serenity. "You did well little sister. As we know, this short life is often cruel, but more cruel is it to allow suffering. Fred was suffering and you gave him peace."
