"So, Astra, we meet again," the dragon-mage said through the bars of her cell. He was handsome in his human form, but his eyes were cold. "You look very fetching in that pink blanket. Tell me, how did you manage to get free of your chains?"

Astra remained silent. If the dragon did not know about Lord Fred, whom she had last seen heading for the library [44], then it would be much better to let him remain in ignorance.

"Not feeling talkative today, Astra? Have a care, or you may find yourself chained up in a tunnel again rather than remaining in this relatively comfortable cell. Or I might decide to use you as a research subject. I doubt that you'd enjoy that very much."
