"Ha!" said the elf, holding his foot. "Well, maybe you're right. He keeps changing anyone who's a free thinker into some sort of messed up animal. Are the good guys hiring?"

"I'm not sure. I do get a monthly stipend from the king. I'll pay you seven gold coins a month if you become my ally."
"Deal!" said the elf.
"Hey!" said the story cop. "What's up with this? You can't go hiring elvish minions!"
"Why not?"
"He'll betray you first chance he gets!"
"Hmmm." said Sir Josh.

1. "Ah, you're a worrywart." said Sir Josh. "I trust him."
2. "You're right." said Sir Josh. "Beat it, elf."
3. The Story Cop betrayed Sir Josh and the elf to the dragon.
