A Difference of Opinion

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 23759

"It's not nonsense," Fred protested. "It's a very insightful book. And besides, the author just happens to be my mother's sister."

"Fred, you're surely not telling me that you were going to attempt to tame the Dragon rather than kill it? The Dragon that toyed with me, took my clothes and then chained me up?"

"Er, yes, that Dragon," Fred said, looking uncomfortable.

"I'd been assuming that King Emry sent you to kill it, not to make friends with it! Did you tell him about this plan of yours?"

"Not in so many words," Fred conceded.

"But your attempt to tame the beast seems to have been a failure."

"I never got a chance to try it out, the way we got sent to this island."

  1. Fred decided that it would be better not to mention to Astra that Dame Woodhouse had claimed that the techniques that worked with Dragons would also work with difficult women, even if they were Aqualarians.
  2. Fred went on: "But I've been trying out her theories on you." Astra exploded. (Note to Lots: that's only a figure of speech!)
  3. Fred went on: "But I've been trying out her theories on you." "That's nice, dear," Astra said, her earlier indignation suddenly fading away. Apparently Dame Woodhouse's ideas actually worked!
