"But..." Fred said, from his favorite fetal position near the tide pools. "Alfred's old and smells funny! And he snores when he sleeps! And sometimes he scratches his nuts."

Fred burst into tears and tried to drown himself in a tide pool.
Astra went to move her things. Fred soon stopped his pathetic suicide attempt.
