Eye for an Eye

Even as Fred hefted the jewel-encrusted and slightly magical mace (unknown to Fred it was actually the Xefyr Battle-Mace forged in the long dead princedom of Ire by the quasignomes of Darth for the personal use of Prince Quackenbusch) the bug-bunny lept past him and onto the unconscious and human form of Velus!

Fred reacted with lightning speed swinging the weighty work of wood, metal, and jewel hitting the eight-legged monstrosity square on its rib- cage and sending it flying from off of the poor youth's face and onto the far wall of the pit... Fred stood amazed as the creature hit the stone and earth with such force that it literally exploded in a puff of blood and fur! And then Fred returned his gaze to poor Velus. His face was a bloody mess and, once he had cleaned it with a velvet shirt he found lying nearby he realized with horror that before his intervention the nasty bug had chewed out Velus' right eyeball!

Luckily the damage was otherwise minimal and the bleeding was not profusive. Fred soon had Velus back onto the make-shift stretcher and was pulling him up the tunnel, and (hopefully, Fred thought) closer to the way out and back to the nearest duchy of Allaria and medical help.

1. Unfortunately Fred found the way blocked by yet another Bug-Bunny!
2. Unfortunately Fred found the way blocked by an array of the wiggly things that had erupted from within the now-dead-and-desintegrated dragon's belly!
3. Suddenly something else from the Dragon's Horde caught Fred's attention...
4. Velus regains consciousness (and much Pain) and begins to scream!
