"What is all this nonsense?" Astra demanded. Fred, who hated confrontation of any sort, collapsed into a pitiful heap on the ground. "I don't know," he replied, shielding his eyes from the others. "Just leave me alone!" "It was just a question, Fred," Astra said. "You do this everytime you're confronted with anything!"Fred was now in a fetal postion, gently rocking himself to and fro, back and forth, all the live long day. He softly hummed an old ballad his nursemaid had sang to him as a tot. Astra looked down at where he lay and shook her head, saying, "Have you no shame? Have you no dignity!? Hey, at least you can read! That's more than can be said for half of the knights from your country! Can't you even defend your point of view?""NO!" Fred screamed, his upper lip trembling violently. "You leave me alone! Quit looking at my books!" Astra cast the book to the ground and walked away. "You got it," she said, "weirdo."Velus and Alfred just stood there, laughing like they always did. Dragging his bookshelf behind him, Fred decided to leave the scene as well. Now that he had his books, he didn't need stupid Astra or Alfred! Or the dog-boy!
