They arrive at the library, and what a library it is! First, the entrance
door was of a thick wood wrapped in metals, making it quite strong and
impressive. Once inside the place must've been three stories tall with a
few side-loft areas but mostly shelves along the walls reaching to the
heights and numerous tables, desks, benches and other items of arcane
look. Astra immediately searched for the spy-box while Ardua went to
investigate a number of stand-alone closets. Fred made the metalman stand
guard at the entrance and then joined Ardua.
"Whatcha doin?" asked Fred with sincere interest. "Looking for clothes," answered Ardua. "Care to help a poor damsel in distress?" Her last words were laced with a tone of mischief. "Oh would I!" said Fred. Together they went through four closets, three chests and two crates. By the end of it both were sweating but clothing indeed had been found. The clothing was not of a common variety; it consisted of skimpy undergarments, leather pants and a shirt that seemed more bandage than cloth. "How strange," said Ardua. "I guess I'm supposed to wrap it about my arms and torso." And so she did. When she was finished she asked, "What do you think, Sir Freddy?" "Wow! You look... great," he said knowing that he probably sounded like an adolescent student about to graduate from the School of Scribes. "You look very western."*** "Alright you two idjots,"****** said Astra. "I have found something very interesting. Come here." *** the look Western (from Allarian and Three Kingdom viewpoints) is the look of the Arabi tribes and peoples... which are to the west of Allaria and the Three Kingdoms. Although most Allarians have never set eyes upon a person of the Arabi Desert, the traders of the Three Kingdoms have. And they have brought tales and wood cuts back to the greater Havnheim peoples. As to Ardua and her western look, it would be safe to say that her "shirt" looks like the silken wrappings of a mummy, yet wrappings that do not suffocate nor cover all, indeed there is ample view of her belly-button and her neck is not covered at all. ****** "idjots" is an Aqualarian word meaning ridiculous adolescent fools barely out of the School of Scriptors. .
