Reach Out and Touch Someone (Part 2)

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 23310

Synizn

Yes, I don't know how good Samuel is at the sword (being I never was one to use a sword), but I'm willing to bet he's going to have a hard time at it with Astra from what I've seen in her fighting skills.

And after all that I still want to do a followup on those two odd vixentaurs who were the "template" for all the other foxtaurs who'd been Samuel's army Vanessa and Jim I know seem to be coping, but beyond that I don't know much about them. Was too busy with more immediate things (like seeing if the other transformees were going to crack up or not) to bother with curiosity...

Oh well, all in good time I am sure.

Astra

As soon as he recovers, Illura has declared that I (her champion) shall meet Samuel in mortal combat, as per what is acceptable by Amazonian custom on the field of battle...

Don't particularly care to be an executioner, but then again I believe it is far past time to show Samuel what a REAL Amazonian warrior can do. Do believe that in the end, though it might be very well the last thing he shall ever know in this life, he shall d*mn well SEE what kind of mettle a woman can have!

At least, I hope, this will come across better, across as more just to those who follow Illura than having just going around and killing Samuel in cold blood as he was helpless. Oh, it will be "in blood", mind you! I dare say in warm blood that Samuel shall die!

I remember that while practicing with Aaron on swordplay, I rather impressed him with my skills at that art. Point in fact, I rather went....er.... Well, after he had seen almost immediately through the first time I went "easy on him" whilst practicing with him (so to spare his ego), he had admonished me for not doing my upmost (his ego wouldn't have been hurt). So instead of appear to barely defeat him time and again.....

Well, let us just say that from what I have heard is that Samuel is perhaps on par with Aaron in skill....and I can wipe the floor with Aaron (though he's hardly a slouch).

Think it has all to do with upbringing and such. Most nobles seem to think of swordplay sometimes more of as a hobby than anything else. Oh, Aaron's got the right idea of what it is really for (and thus approached his learning more seriously than most). However, the same can't be said for Samuel. He's skilled, from what I am told, but it's more out of a sense of....fashion than anything.

Whatever.

At least while I prepare for this battle I can forget (for a time) about the rather disagreeable situation I have with Susan and Harry. Susan and her other half, who has adopted the name Harry, don't want to be separated from me. It's rather embarrassing for me having those two effectively as willing slaves.

Hope to God that the mages back on Terra Prime (with Rift's input) can unravel that slave compulsion within my rather unwanted servants. I am soon going to have to bite back a scream if they keep calling me "Mistress"!

God alone knows how I nearly had to keep from screaming at them as they fussed over me, worried about Illura having suggested endangering myself in mortal combat! They, however, in the end obeyed my orders to take the small fox child named Naomi Wildman (and anyone else unable to stomach the incipient bloodshed) out of sight (until the grownups clean up the bloody mess of battle afterwards). Don't need to add to the child's suffering and....I honestly don't feel that my centaur "servants" would be able to take the violence as well. There is something....of the innocent within their eyes above all else (maybe due to the spell making them as they are)....

....

Yes, this battle will be much less stressful than dealing with the centaur problem.

Never thought I would see the day that I would have another sentient being as a slave....

Ah, but best to keep my mind at the task at hand! The counteragent that Scott used on Samuel to bring him back to reality has finally worked it's magic and he's coming to....and looks ready enough to kill!

No, cannot say that he is happy at having been forced to "spill it". He rants, raves, and does an incredible job at destroying any linger traces of loyalty (or respect) that the new vixentaurs had for their former leader. Point in fact, a lot of hackles are literally raised in anger.

Burnt bridges, I guess, is what one could perhaps call what happened just now. Though I do believe that Samuel isn't aware of who these new "freaks" (one of the milder insults he hurls their way) are. After finally winding down and realizing that his only hope at survival lays within defeating me, he sullenly accepts....and looks shocked at how quickly I soon sheath my blade into his belly! His shock (beginning to be mixed with pain) grows as I whisper into his dying ear about who he'd been insulting.....

"But...." he whispers.

His head flies from his shoulders before he can finish his protest, cleaved by me in traditional Amazonian battle fashion which drawing cheers of approval from both the New Amazons (true Amazons), centaurs, and foxtaurs!

Almost too easy. Though it brings no pleasure at dealing out death, I must admit I rather am glad that vermin is....gone.

And as Samuel's body is twitching it's last, Synizn casts an old and arcane magical spell he somewhere learned along his long lifetime. It's one he rarely used, for obvious reasons, considering the one rather gory ingredient needed to make it work as he wishes. It was a spell that Sato had taught him. A spell developed long ago by that now departed elder Eastern Dragon in the desperate days before the fall of Atlantis. Back when the Dragon Nation feared invasion and defeat. Originally, in a dire emergency, the death of a dragon usually powered it....but a human being's death would do in a pinch....

Now, combine the rather odd way the spell travels AND the fact that the immensely powerful mystical "echoes" the recent Chaos event (as well as Jasmine's transformation spells) should make correctly tracing the source of "the call" to HERE nearly impossible. Hundred of miles away, I'm told, will the source appear at least. Maybe even the far side of one of this worlds moon, for goodness sake! Thus Synizn will be able to, hopefully, use the mage who'd been watching over Samuel (more or less) pass along a message and not get caught....

Well, we can HOPE he (most likely a "he" considering Samuel's one hangup) will cooperate. Might turn on us later, but I can HOPE they'll at least do this one favor for US as perhaps as one last jab at the now dead Sammy?

  1. Thus when the magical illusion of the demifox mage appears in front of Samuel's "tame mage".....
