A Hidden Door?

"Could the iron bar be a lever that might open a hidden doorway?" Checkers suggested.

Belboz shrugged. "It's certainly possible," he said.

Checkers grabbed the bar and tried tugging it, first in one direction and then in the other, but to no effect.

Astra had been considering the possibility of taking one of the boulders and flinging it at Belboz before he had time to react, but she reluctantly decided that she was unlikely to be quick enough. Instead she gestured to Checkers to stand aside, and then took hold of the bar.

As she pulled on it, Fred found himself admiring the play of the powerful muscles in her arms, back and thighs, clearly delineated by the strange armour that she wore. Perhaps he should help her? There was room enough for a second person to stand next to her.
