"Farewell, young Hannah!" Belboz laughed, and made an incantation - then everything started to spin for the young girl.

I may have partied a little too much last night, she realized, Especially since rehearsals start today. Still, it wasn;t every day that a girl turneded 21, so she was entitled to a little bit of liberties.

Now if only I can get through today, she thought. Not only was it First Rehearsal, but she was unnerved - again.

She'd had the birthday dream again last night.

Ever since she was 12, she'd always had the exact same dream on her birthday - that a wizard had plucked her out of some midieval kingdom and put her here, changed her somehow, and that she needed to go back to do something important. And it always ended with the wizard laughing at her.

Impatiently, Hannah shook her head. Grow up, girl! You're 21 now! This is 2004, not the middle ages! And there's no such things as wizards!

Quickly, she showered, dressed and headed across the campus to the recital hall, determined not to let the previous night's dream wreck her mood. The Tobias Academy for the Arts was the most prestigious school of its kind, and she had been picked as the lead dancer in its annual ballet presentation, an original work entitled:
