Somebody Intervenes

"You know that your master's probably dead?" Astra asked, hoping either to demoralise their opponents or to distract them. It didn't seem to have any noticeable effect on them however. But a moment later a voice came from behind Fred and Astra:

1. "The rumours of my death have been much exaggerated. Now drop your weapons and surrender, unless you want to be incinerated." It was the Dragon!
2. "He is indeed." It was the old man, seemingly restored to his original form.
3. "He is indeed." It was a strange, inhuman sounding voice. Fred and Astra's opponents looked up, then screamed and ran. It was the mucoid monster!
