Suddenly the dog quacked. Fred realised two things: firstly that Exotica's
curse was
specific to her and would go with her into whichever body she took over,
and secondly
that Exotica must now be in the dog's body - which must mean that Velus
was now in Fred's
body. "Damn," said Fred, discovering that his new body had a very pleasant
voice. "What
do we do now?" "Do we have to do anything?" asked Velus. "From my point of
view, things
seem to have worked out rather well." Exotica quacked threateningly, and
bared her teeth,
but she (or he, since it was a male dog's body) was too small to be a
danger to Velus
should he decide to leave things as they were.
