"It's my sister Fredwina!" Fred exclaimed. Astra wondered what parents in
their right minds would, having named their son Frederigo, go on to name
their daughter Fredwina. But she decided that it wouldn't be tactful to
mention it.
Fred ran to meet Fredwina, and brother and sister embraced, crying tears of joy. Then Fred formally introduced Fredwina to Astra. "Astra, this is my sister, Fredwina. Fredwina, this is Princess Astra of Aqualaria, a quest-companion of mine." "Pleased to meet you, Princess," Fredwina said. "Please to meet you too, Fredwina. This isn't the place for formality, though. Please call me 'Astra'." As she spoke, Astra was evaluating the girl. She looked to be in her late teens. She wasn't very tall, and was slight of build. Dishevelled long blonde hair framed a delicate face. If she had spent some considerable time on this island and survived, though, as the tattered state of her clothing indicated she had, then she must be tougher than she looked. It was Fred who asked the question that had been in Astra's mind: "Have you been here long. Winnie?"
