The Never Ending Quest - Episode 22224

After much discussion the three decided that, in view of the gnome's concluding remark, they should take the opposite branch to the one he had indicated. Fred led the way, forgetting that, since Astra still had his sword, it might have been wiser if she had gone first. Surprisingly, Astra did not object.

Then Fred stopped so suddenly that Astra nearly rammed her sword up his backside. "What is it?" she asked.

"L-look!" Fred said. "In the tunnel ahead of us. A spider!"

"Oh really, Fred," Astra said. "Surely you aren't afraid of spiders?"

  1. "Everyone's got a phobia about something, and spiders just happens to be mine." Astra stepped forward and crushed the spider under her foot, and they carried on.
  2. "Only when they're six feet high like this one is."
