“Say,” said Sir Josh, “if your skills in combat are as good as your baking
expertise, you might be able to help me. You see there are these Story
Cops who are trying to restore Lord Fred as the main character [370], only
Lord Fred is a zombie[3000], and there are zombies all over the castle
[3008], and it’s up to me to save the day [3152], and well…perhaps you can
join me on my Quest?”
The snake shook his head. “Maybe a few years ago I could’ve helped you, but now I’m afraid I’m just too big. I can’t even fit through the doors to leave this library. Too much eating and not enough exercise were my downfall.” ”Eating? In here? What could you possibly find to dine on in a library?” ”Oh, you see I am no ordinary snake. I am a Book Snake (distant cousin to the Bookworm). I live on ink and paper. I was slithering around the castle, found this library, and the rest is hiss-tory.” ”Any tips?” asked Josh, hoping to garner something useful from this conversation. ”I have lots of useful knowledge from all the books I’ve devoured. I’m like a walking encyclopedia, except without the walking part. The best advice I can give you is: gather herbs!” ”I’m sorry, but WHAT?” ”As you explore this area, you’ll notice a lot of herbs growing in conspicuous areas. I suggest you pick them up as they can have great healing properties should you get injured.”
