As they hid in the vent system, Stacy was troubled by her inability to get things straight in her mind. If she had been kidnapped from another reality by the FBN, then why had she finished up in a subway train rather than in FBN custody? Perhaps she had been in custody and managed to escape, and only subsequently lost her memory? That would explain it.

But if that was so, how come she had a driver's licence showing her as the vixen morph that she now was? [11315] And how had Manna managed to find out so much in so short a time about what must surely be a very secret operation?

  1. She put these points to Manna.
  2. "I don't know why, but I think you've been spinning me a line," she told Manna bluntly.
  3. "I think that whoever told you the story that you told me was lying," she said.
  4. But all this would have to wait until they had escaped from FBN HQ. There wasn't time to worry about it now.
