With Princess Astra now in jail, Fred and the intelligent dog Velus had gone back to the dragon's caverns. Fred had stopped by the local Wizard's hut and purchased a minor spell so he could understand the dog. There were many other spells useful for fighting the dragon, yes, but they all came with magical after-effects Fred did not want. Translation spells just made your fashion sense go away for a month. Fred could deal. Anyway, deep inside the caverns they found a man made of pure lava sleeping off a drunk. He was on a stone bench at the foot of a geode-studded cliff. Light from the man's red and orange body sparkled through-out the area. Nearby were black and bright-green metal containers of scumble, apple-based wine that could make any sentient being drunk.
