Belboz's Adventure

Fred crumples into a chair, and props his ankle on a nearby stool. “Where is he?”

”BELBOZ!” shouts Checkers. There is no immediate reply. She looks around the room for a salve or something else to help Fred. “Perhaps he ran when the wallhugger attacked?”

”At any rate, this is probably as good a place as any to rest. We should keep an eye out for Belboz, however. I don’t trust him."

As Checkers and Fred rest, Belboz is in actuality nowhere nearby. He is walking alone through another cavern gathering mushrooms.

He turns a corner and enters a chamber that has a beautiful young woman chained to the wall. Belboz pauses for a moment, looks and the woman, and says:

1. “What has happened, my dear? Allow me to rescue you!”
2. “Ah, Astra! I know you think me to be a cruel tyrant imprisoning you like this, but I am not completely cold-hearted. I have brought you some mushrooms to dine on!”
