The Brass Dragon

Andrea saw a bluish object on the ground. It was a old brass statue of a dragon, which fit neatly into the palm of her hand. The eyes appeared to be made of some sort of pale red gemstones that she could not identify. The details of the wings and scales appear to have worn with age. She examined it, but it did not yield any clues as to who owned it or how old it was. There appeared to be a little bar of metal near the tail. Andrea pressed her thumb against it, and it moved a short distance up with a click. Must to her surprise, Andrea

1. saw a flicker of flame from the dragon's mouth.
2. suddenly heard a low hum overhead, like the beating of wings from a large bee.
3. felt extremely tired, and fell fast asleep.
