Fred continues to thrash his his sword about at the shadows, but it is of
no use. Belboz has cast a nightvision spell on himself and is able to
keep clear with ease, all the while staying close enough to continue to
taunt Fred.
”Look, I never said she’d last forever! You expect too much, warrior!” ”Tell your master that he’ll be tasting steel!” ”My master? My MASTER? Don’t be so naïve. Do you think I’m in the employ of that buffoonish Dragon? Ah, no. I have grand plans for him. Just as I have grand plans for you, warrior!” Belboz laughed maniacally. And with that, Belboz disappeared, and the cavern lit up once again with an eerie, unnatural light.
