Bamboozled

Right, let me get this straight...I pick up an distress beacon and find a lifeboat of earth design. Nothing too strange in itself, but the lifeboat has no sign of any registry and there's an non GalEng-speaking Ibornite on board. Now what would a member of a race not known for going off-planet, be doing on an un-marked Earth lifeboat? Even stranger, why did it die? Suicide? Accident? My brain was beginning to hurt.Ah, forget it, I thought. The trader on Weston II wasn't known for his patience, and I could do with all the credits I get my hands on. Let somebody else fry their brain.

I got out of the damaged lifeboat as fast as I could. As soon I was back inside the Astra I took off the one-size-fits-all pressure suit with great difficulty before climbing up to the bridge and undocking from the lifeboat.
