After taking a moment to look the word "shambolic" up in a dictionary (a knight should never leave his castle without one), Fred turned to the new arrival. He explained about the mysterious, seemingly untranslatable scroll and asked if Wincerind knew what to do about it.
Wincerind was still for a moment, pulling his beard in thought. Then, he lit up with sudden realization. "I know what this is! This is a perfect example of Urkjant's Bibliographical Deflector! That is a spell that can be cast on a letter so that it can only be read by its intended recipient. Anyone else can only see it as written in a language they cannot understand. It also subconsciously guides anyone who has it to its intended recipient. I doubt I can read it directly, but I could try to discern some of the true meaning through magical means." "Alright, go ahead," said Fred, although he was still dubious. Wincerind sat on a conveniently situated boulder and held out the scroll in his right hand. He closed his eyes and began mumbling arcane words. "Estereth... omungar...turniam..." "He's making most of these words up, isn't he?" protested Irena. "I'm afraid we haven't golt anyone better," responded Fred. Suddenly, Wincerind jolted up! "I've got it! It says..."
