I silently query him...er...her and I find that while she feels a lingering trace she tells me that it's not strong enough to tell me more than she might be within the confines of the city of Alexandria.

I believe that a fear that I and the others secretly shared with each other may appear to be being proved out before my eyes. See, we'd been wondering just why Uhura seems to have a better time at detecting (such as it is) our target than this Fred in the bag. Now, it appears that we have some kind of bond between these three folks (Uhura D'Honaire, Fred the pixie, and Nyota Uhura). We were able to determine that whatever Uhura got in this bargain, she at least still is female. I've been informed that the traces detected by Chekov's tricorder (damnit, why couldn't I get that in addition to the cloak?) that Uhura might have been turned into one of the fey....similar to Fred in the bag here.... Now, the nature of this link between all of them seems to lay in what the Oracle did with them. The similarities in bodies and such. One connection would perhaps be that all are female and the transformation spells seemed to be a vital component. Another I thought would have been (in as far as a possible link between Fred and Uhura) species.....but right now something seems to be eclipsing it or.....another similarity seems to be more powerful than that.

I can think of one possibility right off....but I'd rather not even give voice to it in fear of making it real.....

So, it comes down to that we now have an entire town to explore for Nyota Uhura. But.....

But before I sigh and go out to tell the others after I overhear somebody laughing about some old "geezer" fellow dressed in an old style Star Trek outfit who'd had a girl with her with this...oddest but most realistic doll he'd ever seen. From the description I overhear it sounds very familiar while lingering around an independent black and white comic book (Elfquest...how appropriate)....

He's not in the area that I'm in and I'm not even sure that he's still here.....but I need to report this to the others. Report it face to face instead of via mental contact. Too many minds in the way in this crowd for a reliable contact anyway.....
