Fred looked to his right, then left. But the little beagle was gone.
Fred was about to call out to the dog then realized it might not be the
best idea. Many loose-hanging spikes hung off the ceiling. An echo
could cause some massive damage, to the cave, and himself.
He quietly walked back into the tunnel. It was a bit darker than
before.
"Velus?" he whispered. No answer. He walked a bit more and came to a
different door. It was tall and wooden with a shiney bronze doorknob. A
note was taped to the door that said "ENTER."
"Was that there before...." he trailed off. Then his ears heard the
sound of yipping. Sounding like that of a dog's. Could it be Velus?
Fred reaches for the knob...
