Prophecy of Darkness

The room was a wide one, 20x20, lit by brightly burning torches in copper- inlaid braziers, set at regular intervals between the tapestries that decorated the walls. The tapestries were impressive pieces of work, wrought with gold and silver and a clearly priceless fabric that continued to glimmer despite the humidity in the air. But it was the scenes depicted in the tapestries that caught Fred's full attention.

They showed strange pink multi-tentacled beasts, hundreds of them - so many they darkened the sky with their multitudes. The tapestries, which seemed to be displaying events in a chronological order, proceeded to show these horrifying pink demons invading human lands, burning, raping and pillaging, driving iron spikes into the heads of innocent human victims and devouring their brains. And the last few tapestries were entirely incomprehensible - they showed a single, enormous demon, growing in size until it eclipsed the sun and devoured the earth in a single fell swoop.

"Diabolical!" Fred commented.

1. Overcome by rage, Fred draws his sword and sets to hacking the foul tapestries to pieces.
2. Overcome by greed, Fred starts pulling the tapestries down to sell along the way.
3. Overcome by the munchies, Fred decides it's time for a lunch break.
4. Too butch to be 'overcome' by anything, Fred looks for a way out of the chamber.
