Fred slapped his hand to his forehead, "OOPS!"

Astra shook her head in amazement and decided his wits were addled. "Uh, Synizn is a regional tavern refreshment distributor. And the Crystallic is a new soft ale," she said quickly. "It's something we picked up on our travels and we hope to make a killing in the specialty beverage market. It has a very unusual taste; minty orange with a touch of absinthe." She smiled sheepishly and then added with a kiss of her fingers, "Magnifique!"

"So you got this soft ale with you?" Tarin asked her dryly. "It sounds wonderful and I'd love to have a taste."

Fred jumped in before she could respond. "As a matter of fact we do," he said and stepped over to his bags. He opened one up and reached in. He smiled gleefully, because what he was really going to do was suddenly grab his sword and smack the little man over the head with it. But his hand abruptly stopped and his eyes grew wide with surprise. The bag he had reached into contained the Crystallic true enough, but instead of the magical crystal artifact, Fred found himself staring at a clear container filled with a bubbly orange liquid.
