Fred's many questions were seemingly answered when the mother of one (or
more?) of the babies entered the room. She was a human female! But wait!
Fred shook his head and bonked it a few times against the palm of his
hand. Why did he just assume that this woman was one of the mothers? And
why did he just assume that she was human? Sure she looked human enough,
the long red hair, the slim neck and thin shoulders, the full breasts and
wide hips, the long legs. Fred bonked his head a few more times.
When the woman noticed Fred her prior-to expression of warm compassion turned to fear, fright and terror - in other words, she was scared. "Don't be afraid," said Fred trying to reassure her. Suddenly a bright green flash broke the even light of the nursery. A small eyeball broke from the ether and landed with a plop beside one of the babies. The woman quickly reached over and snatched it from the innocent(?) child-thing. After a quick inspection Fred saw her take the eye and swallow it whole! "Ewww, gross." Suddenly Fred wasn't exactly sure who should be afraid of whom.
