Trimming Bushes

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 19866

Ged was very annoyed that he, future Champion of Good and Righteousness and Princess-Saving, had to spend a hot, frustrating day trimming bushes! And he wasn't even allowed to use magic! What was the damn point of having magic if it couldn't be used to destroy inconveinences like this!
Ged stepped back as a small thin branch evaporated in ocatine fire.
"Uh oh!" he thought, waving the fumes about. "Anything bigger and Master Shinobi, Gardener Usagi and Fruddle and Muddle would have detected it! Dammit, I hate all of them. When I get older I'm gonna make them trim the bushes! They'll have to listen to me!"
Ged continued to trim, getting a nasty sunburn.
Hours later, as he sat in Muddle's waiting room (with nobody else ahead of him, of course) something drastic happened.

  1. He was attacked by a knife-dwarf.
  2. His legs locked up and he fell to the ground, screaming in pain.
  3. He was visited by the hallucination he told no one about, the Fairy-Second-Cousin.
  4. His shoes burst into flame.
