"These...things...emerging from their home realm...they are what started
the legend of the vampire. They cannot tolerate natural light. Sun,
moonlight, even stored solar. But enough of the world has been paved over,
happened last June 16th, around four a.m, that the balance has tipped.
They've been coming over bit by bit by bit, creating their own balance.
The more that survive over here, the more that can show up. I'm part of a
little army, we've been keeping their numbers down but two of our team
went traitor. We tapped into the monster's natural magic to throw one of
us back in time...we didn't think that a point 0.9 percent chance of
amnesia in our past self was enough to worry about but I guess a small
chance is enough of a chance." "Time travel? I've seen a lot." Stacy sighed. "I knew you'd say this." Future-Stacy cocked her head to the side. "Don't look at me like that. I like pizza. Stupid glass. Go yuma legga day. That means go home and go to bed in Norwegian." "What the hell?" "Shut up." A passing Jewish man threw his hat to the ground. "Don't look at me like that!" he said to a tall transexual man. "I like pizza!" screamed an overweight child from a passing taxi. There was a cracking sound. "Stupid glass!" said a skinny businessman, picking up a dropped watch. "Go yuma legga day. That means go home and go to bed in Norwegian>" A tall man and an older woman in a glaring pink shirt were passing by. "Okay fine. Whatever. Whattya we do now, Sarah Connor?" "First, no wisecracks. Secondly, we have a safe-house in a Central Park Penthouse. None of the people there will recognize me of course, but I have several pass-codes memorized."
