Chased by a Disembodied Head

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 19511

Running through an unfamiliar abandoned castle that was subject to a maze spell, being chased by a disembodied head, was not Lady Andrea's idea of fun. She wondered if she could be having a nightmare from which she would wake up at any moment, but unfortunately it was real enough. It was quite a handsome head, with a neatly trimmed dark goatee beard, but the drops of blood that continually dripped from its severed blood vessels were rather off-putting.

Then she tripped over one of the cats, and went crashing to the floor. Before she could draw her sword (which would be of dubious use in any case), the head was upon her. She cowered from it.

  1. It said rather plaintively: "All I wanted to do was to say hello."
  2. It said: "You haven't seen my body anywhere, by any chance?"
  3. It kissed her. Yeurrgghhh! thought Andrea.
  4. It bit her knee
