Perhaps Chapel had a point, Fred thought. Perhaps it was having - at least in part - a male mind that was enabling her to resist the insidious voice. But she had more immediate matters to concern her that that. Top of the list, of course, was the phasar that was pointing at her.

"Into the corner with the others," Chapel told her, gesturing with the phasar. Fred had no option but to do as she was told.

"Now what?" McCoy asked Chapel.

"Now we wait until we hear that the Enterprise is in our hands. The only reason that you and the male orderlies are still conscious is that we may need your skills should any of our sisters be injured during our take-over of the ship."

She went on: "But we don't need Uhura, of course." Before she pulled the trigger, Fred just had enough time wonder whether the phasar was set on "stun".
At that moment, the klaxon denoting Red Alert sounded. "Looks like our sisters have made their move against the Bridge," the female orderly said.
A female voice came over the intercom: "This is Lt Connors, your new commanding officer. Sisters, the Enterprise is in our hands."
