The ghost in the locked room

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 1926

"BEWARE!" the ghost shouts. "BEWARE! YOUR DOOM AWAITS IF YOU CANNOT ESCAPE!" He's an old man but still manages an aura of spookiness. Of course this doesn't faze a knight of the kingdom.
"Mr. Tomlinson?" Fred asks.
"Fred?" says the ghost.
"It is you!" said Fred. "You old warhorse! I still remember all the science stuff you taught me. I can blow things up with horse poop as well as the next man."
"Dammit!" said Mr. Tomlinson. "Out of all my students you had to get doomed into this solid room."
"Um, that's not what my old teacher would say!" Fred declared. "There's always a way out! Anyone who gives up is already dead."
The ghost brightened. "That's the um...spirit, my boy. Now, tell me how you got in. Then we can work on a way out."

  1. Fred relieves the past five or so episodes. (Scroll back, dear reader).
  2. Fred finds he cannot remember how he got in here.
  3. A hole opens in the floor. Fred leaps through. A suprised but grateful Mr. Tomlinson follows.
  4. This paticular spot was a booby trap. Fred is thrown back all the way to his quarters in the castle. "Clever beast." he rails to the heavens. "A way to get rid of your enemies without incurring the wrath of their allies!"
