Madame Zelberta was interrupted by a tap on her shoulder. "Excuse me,"
said Fred,
"but what are you doing?"
"I'm carrying out an exorcism," Madame Zelberta replied. "I can detect a ghostly presence in the vicinity, and I intend to send it to where it belongs." "You're a priestess, then? Do you think that your ritual will only work on ghosts, or might it work on - for instance - someone who has been displaced from his own world?" "Oddly enough, you're the second person in quick succession to ask me that. It worked on the woman all right - or at any rate, she disappeared, so I assume that it must have worked." "Er, about that drink..." the former heckler put in nervously. "What drink?" Fred asked, annoyed by the interruption. "Oh, yes, I remember. Never mind that now. Just go off and leave us alone, would you." The former heckler did as he was told. "Now, where were we?" Fred said. "Ah, yes. This woman: a tall redhead, was she?" "Why yes, she was. Do you yourself have a psychic power, sir?" "Not as far as I know. But I met the woman earlier today, and knew of her situation. Can you do for me what you did for her, and send me back home?" "I don't see why not."
