Fred examines the crates of tea. One crate stands out as being unusual. Burned into the wood in stencilled letters is the phrase 'D. Adams Tea Exporters - Earl Grey - Lot 42 - c/o O. and B. Mouse, Prop.'. Fred takes a crowbar and pries the lid off the crate. Inside are a large number of muslin bags containing what look like dried tea leaves. Fred heats the water in an iron tea kettle until he sees a wisp of steam and hears whistling. He slips his right hand into a gauntlet, lifts the kettle and pours the water from the kettle into his teacup. He then removes that gauntlet and tosses one of the bags into the teacup, and waits for the tea to cool. The tea appears to be ready. Just before Fred take a sip, he notices something strange.
