It Doesn't Always Pay to Try to Help

The valkyrie scowled at her. "Is that a complaint?" she asked belligerently. "I don't take very kindly to complaints."

"No, not at all. It's just that I wondered whether it had taken you several hundred years to get them; because, you see, there seem to have been some major changes since you went to get them."

"Are youse trying to be funny, girl? It's not ten minutes since I went to fetch the apples."

"But the Hall is deserted, and has been for hundreds of years. See for yourself."

1. The valkyrie follows Andrea's advice and sees for herself. She is so astonished at what she sees that she drops the box, and apples roll everywhere.
2. The valkyrie has had enough of being made fun of by this slip of a girl. She carefully puts down the box of apples and draws her sword. Andrea reluctantly draws her own weapon, hoping it won't come to a fight.
