Fred, thanks to Uhura's memories, recalled the planet well: an idyllic place of forests and lakes, with no intelligent life of its own, and thus well- suited for human settlement.

"Computer, have your records been updated with the information on the pregnancies of thirteen crew members?" Spock asked.

"Yes, that information has been entered by Nurse Chapel within the last 30 minutes."

"Did all - or any - of the affected crew members visit the planet's surface?"

1. "All of them did so, at the same time."
2. "All of them did so, at one time or another."
