The erstwhile Lord Fred realised that the wizard must have messed with her
mind
as well as her body. Though she could remember her former identity, she
was now
thinking of herself as Lady Angelina, although she had no idea where that
name had come
from.
Since climbing down into a chasm whilst wearing armour would be difficult and dangerous, she decided to go east rather than north. She hoped that the stream she could hear would be fordable or, failing that, that there would be a path running alongside it. It hardly mattered which way she went anyway, she thought morosely, since the map she had been given had proved useless and she had no idea how to find the dragon. As she headed east along the tunnel, the sound of running water grew louder. Then she came to:
