"Good luck!" the voice said as Fred left. She was not sure whether
it was mocking her or the words had really been meant.
Whichever was the case, she was never likely to
find out who had been behind her transformation, and that rankled with her.
She was in no doubt that continuing on her quest was the right thing to do. The whole point of a knight's quest was that you either completed it or you died in the attempt. And she still lived. To give up now would mean dishonour, something far worse than any transformation could ever be. The trouble was that she did not know how to find the dragon. Her map had proved useless, even before she had lost it at some point during her transformation. Also the cave system had proved to be far larger than she could ever have imagined. She had no idea of where the dragon was. Even worse, she had no idea of where she was. All she could do was to keep walking and hope that she got lucky, if finding the dragon could be so called.
