No Laughing Matter

Fred, along with everyone else in the room, was so helpless with laughter
that he
could do nothing to intervene. Astra herself was laughing as much as
anyone, and so was unable to
resist as first a blindfold was put over her eyes and then she was half
dragged and half
carried out. It was ten minutes before the guards had stopped laughing,
and by that time
the Queen and her abductors had vanished without trace. "They must have
used
powerful magic to make everyone laugh so," someone muttered. "Nothing is
that funny."
Some time later, Astra's blindfold was removed. She found herself in a dimly-lit room. Her captors stood all around. She was facing a great, intricately carved, wooden chair - almost a throne. On it sat a man just as dirty and unclad as the rest, although he appeared to be considerably younger. Like them, he looked as though it was many years since he had cut, or even combed, his hair. "I am Josh, Lord of Misrule," he said.
